Tribute to killed Wigan pedestrian, 86, hit by car
The family of an elderly church helper killed when he was hit by a car have paid tribute to him.
Eighty-six-year-old Gordon Kennedy died after he was hit by a silver Astra Warrington Road, Abram, Wigan, Greater Manchester, on Friday evening.
Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family said in a statement he was a much-loved uncle, great uncle, godfather and great friend who would be "greatly missed by all who knew him".
PC Paul Joynson of Greater Manchester Police appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
