Three held after man left critical in Manchester 'fight' stabbing
Three people have been detained by police after a man was left in a critical condition when he was stabbed during a fight in Manchester.
The 31-year-old was attacked outside the Printworks in the city centre, at about 04:00 GMT on Saturday.
He was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary after suffering wounds to his back and abdomen, Greater Manchester Police said.
A 30-year-old man was also treated for a stab wound and later discharged.
Two 18-year-old men, from Swinton and Blackley, have been arrested and remain in police custody.
A third man, also 18 and from Salford, has been charged with two counts of assault and is due to appear before magistrates in Manchester on Monday.
Det Insp Vicki Kenyon said a fight had broken out between two groups of men and appealed for witnesses to contact police.
"We know there were lots of people around at the time and many of them were trying to calm the situation down," she said.
