Phillip Owen stab death: Police launch murder investigation

A murder investigation has begun into the fatal stabbing of a man described as a "good brother and son".

Phillip Owen, 42, was stabbed in the neck and was found dead on Gloucester Road in Urmston, Greater Manchester, at about 19:00 GMT on Sunday.

Det Supt Jon Chadwick said he wanted to hear from anyone with information, adding the public may have "a vital part of the jigsaw".

Mr Owen's family said he was "really likeable" and "lived live to the full".

Mr Owen was originally from Caernarfon, Gwynedd.
