Man raped in Manchester Gay Village attack
A man has been raped and robbed in an early-morning attack in Manchester's Gay Village.
The 23-year-old was walking on Brazil Street when he was approached by another man at about 04.30 BST on Wednesday.
They walked together for a short distance before the other man raped and robbed him in a doorway, police said.
The attacker was described as Asian, of medium build and about 30 years old, police said.
After the attack, he stole the a ring and a watch from the victim before he fled towards Whitworth Street.
Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and appealing for information.
The man is described as about 5ft 10in (1.78m) with short styled facial hair and dark black short hair. He is also believed to speak little English and was wearing a black jacket and grey bottoms.
Det Insp David Moores said the man "has shown immense bravery in coming forward".
