Oldham 'urinating' row: Man admits assaulting 70-year-old

A man has admitted assaulting a 70-year-old who asked him to stop urinating in the street.

Derek Laidlaw was attacked after confronting the 46-year-old near his partner's house in Failsworth, Oldham at about 22:45 BST on 2 July.

Mr Laidlaw suffered severe bruising to his face and head during the attack.

Stephen Anthony Glynn, of Massey Avenue, Failsworth, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Monday.

He will be sentenced at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on 8 August.
