Oldham boy 'critical' after taking ecstasy

A 16-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital apparently after taking ecstasy, police have said.

Emergency crews were called to an address on Elm Road in Oldham, Greater Manchester, shortly before 04:30 BST on Saturday after the boy collapsed.

Greater Manchester Police said an investigation had been launched.

The boy's collapse follows a warning from the force on Saturday after five men in Rochdale fell ill after taking legal highs.
