Five held over child sexual exploitation probe in Bolton
Five men have been held in connection with a child sexual exploitation investigation relating to a Bolton-based funfair, police say.
The five, aged 21 to 54 and from Wigan, Bolton and Salford, were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and human trafficking.
All have been released on police bail.
North West Fun Fairs has previously operated in Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside.
The BBC has made several attempts to contact the firm for a comment.
Det Supt Joanne Rawlinson said: "We have a zero tolerance for this type of offence and we, along with our partners, are prepared to act immediately on any reports that are made."
