Bolton road fall death: Man charged after woman hit by car

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a woman was killed by a car after falling in the road in Greater Manchester.

The woman, who has not been named, fell backwards while crossing Bow Street in Bolton at about 22:00 GMT on Sunday.

Three vehicles avoided her but she was hit by a fourth. A car was later found abandoned in Back Bridge Street.

A 22-year-old man from Atherton is due before Bolton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

He has also been charged with failing to stop and failing to report a collision, driving without a licence or insurance, perverting the course of justice and driving while on drugs.
