Two men who were arrested at Manchester Airport on suspicion of making a bomb hoax have been released, police said.

An Easyjet plane bound for Morocco was evacuated at about 15:30 GMT on Thursday after a passenger claimed to have a bomb in his bag.

A man, 45, has been released without charge while a 46-year-old man has been bailed pending further inquiries, a police spokesman confirmed.

Security checks were carried out and no explosive devices were found.

An Easyjet spokeswoman said the airline took any security threat seriously and safety was a priority.
