Three charged in Bolton trafficking and slavery probe

Three people have been charged following claims a man was trafficked from Poland to Bolton and held as a slave for almost five years.

Rozalia Siwak, 47, Roksana Siwak, 25, and Damian Siwak, 30, all of Gibraltar Street, Bolton, face trafficking and slavery charges.

The three are due to appear before Bolton Magistrates Court.

The charges follow a "complex" investigation, said Det Insp Charlotte Cadden of Greater Manchester Police.

All three are accused of arranging for, or helping, an individual to arrive into the UK, with the intention of exploiting them, on 23 September 2010.

The trio are also charged with holding a person in slavery or servitude between 23 September 2010 and 6 June 2015.
