A man who repeatedly raped a woman at a house in Greater Manchester has been jailed for eight-and-a-half years.

Fraser Langhorn, 43, was found guilty of three counts of rape after a trial at Liverpool Crown Court.

The jury heard Langhorn, of Third Avenue in Little Lever, near Bolton, raped his 38-year-old victim three times over two days in August 2013.

After he was sentenced, Greater Manchester Police commended the bravery shown by his victim in coming forward.

Det Insp Paul Copplestone said: "I understand that the sentence won't change what happened, but I hope it will go some way to giving her some closure."
