A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after his neighbour died following an assault, police have said.

Derek Szostok was found injured at his home in Moresby Close, Leigh at about 01:50 BST on 26 August after police were called to a neighbour's house.

The 62-year-old was taken to hospital, but died on Saturday. A post-mortem examination determined he died from a flexion of the neck, police said.
