Girl, 16, charged over stabbing of Oldham woman

A 16-year-old girl has been charged with assault after a woman was stabbed in Oldham.

Police found a 42-year-old woman with injuries to her back at a house in Dobcross New Road on Sunday morning.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said she was still being treated in hospital and was in a "serious but stable" condition.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Oldham Youth Court on Monday.
