Two men charged over Cheshire motorway £7.75m drug find

Two men have been charged after drugs with a street value of £7.75m were found in a van stopped on the M6.

John Toner, 67, of Nevile Road, Prestwich, and Andrew Currie, 46, of Cleave Road, Hayes, are accused of conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs.

They have been remanded in custody to appear before Manchester Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

The van was stopped near Sandbach services on Thursday.

Two men, aged 21 and 31, have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
