Arrest over men's canal plunge in Dale Street, Manchester

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two men fell into a Manchester canal.

One man, 25, is critically ill in Manchester Royal Infirmary after he was pulled out of the canal by the emergency services on Sunday evening.

A second man managed to pull himself out of the canal, in Dale Street in the city's Northern Quarter, himself and ran away.
