A man who killed another in a "vicious and unprovoked" attack after a row in a Manchester street has been jailed for life.

David Gray, 29, of Barlow Road in Levenshulme left Glen Delaney with facial injuries on the street in May.

The 40-year-old was taken to hospital but later died.

Gray admitted Mr Delaney's murder and was sentenced to serve a minimum of 14 years in prison at Manchester Crown Court.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said he hoped the sentence brought "some comfort" to Mr Delaney's family.
