Bolton father admits baby's manslaughter
The father of a six-week-old baby who died from a head injury has pleaded guilty to his manslaughter.
Mohammed Ismail Malik died in hospital last January after paramedics were called to his family home in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Shakeel Hussain, 25, from Balcary Grove, admitted unlawfully killing his son at Manchester Crown Court.
A charge against wife Rabeel Malik, 23, of causing or allowing the death of a child was previously dismissed.
Hussain, who had denied murder, was remanded in custody for the preparation of a psychological report.
He is due to be sentenced in February.
