Bolton man remanded for attempted murder after stabbing

A 21-year-old Bolton man has been remanded in custody accused of attempted murder following the stabbing of a 26-year-old man.

Police were called to Bolton Road in Westhoughton, Bolton, at 00:10 GMT on Sunday where they found the victim with multiple stab wounds.

The victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.

Shaun Beazley, who lives on the street where the victim was found, appeared at Bolton Magistrates' Court earlier.

His next court appearance will be at Bolton Crown Court on 28 March.

Police said no further action would be taken against two other men, aged 20 and 26, who were initially arrested on suspicion of assault.
