Greater Manchester Police officer admits sex on duty charge

A Greater Manchester Police officer who had sex with a vulnerable woman while on duty has pleaded guilty to misconduct in a public office.

Peter Jee, 37, of Stickens Farm, Urmston, admitted the charge at Minshull Street Crown Court.

The incident, which involved a woman described as suffering from alcoholism and bipolar disorder, took place in Rochdale on 20 August, 2010.

Jee, who resigned from the force in 2011, is due to be sentenced on 8 May.

The former sergeant was given bail by Judge Timothy Mort, but told: "A custodial sentence may well follow."

Jee had also been charged with rape but the allegation was not proceeded with by the prosecution.
