Greater Manchester travel disruption following snowfall

Icy conditions could cause travel disruption for commuters across Greater Manchester and Cheshire on Monday.

A Met Office spokesman said the "sensitivity of surfaces" of roads and pavements to ice is "higher than average" due to the prolonged period of cold weather.

There may also be patchy fog on some of the area's major routes.

Diversions have been in place for some First Manchester bus services in Bury and Oldham.

Manchester Airport closed for a time on Saturday night while the runway was cleared.
