Tribute to Oldham teenager killed in crash

The family of a teenager who was killed when the car he was travelling in crashed into a telegraph pole in Saddleworth have paid tribute to him.

Mohammed Zain, 17, known as Ziggy, from Coppice, Oldham, was a passenger in the Peugeot 307 which crashed on Range Lane in Denshaw at 02:30 GMT on Monday.

He was taken to hospital with head injuries but later died.

His family said: "He will be forever in our hearts, but he has gone to a better place."

They added: "To our most recognised and handsome little one, we will always love you and miss you.

"You're the best thing that ever happened to us. You will be missed by all."

Three other people were taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

An 18-year-old man arrested over the incident has been bailed pending further inquiries.
