Nine bronze memorial plaques which were stolen from a Manchester cemetery have been found in a bag beside a railway bridge.

The plaques, which were taken from Blackley Cemetery between 31 October and 7 November, were discovered on Dean Lane in Newton Heath.

The whereabouts of a tenth stolen plaque is unknown.

A 44-year-old man has been charged with theft in connection with the incident.
