Boy dies after Saddleworth car crash

A teenage boy has died after the car he was travelling in crashed into a telegraph pole in Oldham.

The Peugeot 307 crashed on Range Lane in Denshaw, Saddleworth, at 02:30 GMT.

Four people were found injured in the vehicle. One, a 17-year-old boy, later died of head injuries in hospital.

Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in relation to the incident, and have asked anyone with any information to contact them.

The three other people involved in the crash suffered non-life threatening injuries.
