Two held in Greater Manchester child exploitation probe

Two men have been arrested by police as part of an investigation into child exploitation in Greater Manchester.

The pair, 34 and 43, were arrested in Rochdale on Thursday morning.

It follows the arrests of nine other men, aged 20 to 40, from Rochdale and Heywood, on 21 December.

They were questioned on suspicion of rape, inciting child prostitution, allowing premises to be used for prostitution and sexual activity with a child. The nine were released on bail.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "The arrests are the result of an inquiry into the sexual exploitation of teenage girls by men since 2008."

He urged anyone with information to contact police.
