Man charged with human trafficking in north Manchester

A man has been charged by police investigating human trafficking and sexual exploitation in Manchester.

Police said a 33-year-old woman arrived in Manchester from Hungary to work as a nanny, but was then raped and sexually exploited after she arrived.

The 37-year-old, from Harpurhey, has been charged with three counts of rape and human trafficking for sexual exploitation.

He is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court later.
