Published

Detectives have released CCTV footage of the moment a motorist ploughed through a crowd of people outside a Rochdale nightclub.

At least 23 people were injured when a car was driven at door staff outside Dali Bar, in Packer Street, in the early hours of 17 October.

Police are still hunting Lee Anthony Bradley, a suspect in the crash.

About 80 properties have been searched by officers and they have warned that anyone helping him faces arrest.

'Reckless' driving

Mr Bradley has links to the Rochdale, Manchester and Whitworth areas and is white, 5ft 7ins (1.7m) tall and of slim build.

He has brown hair and has the tip of his ring finger on his right hand missing. He also has a large distinctive tattoo on his right forearm.

Det Insp Chris Walker, of Rochdale CID, said: "I want Bradley and anyone who knows where he might be to look at this CCTV footage and think long and hard about how serious this offence is.

"The footage clearly shows the driver of the car recklessly driving into a large group of people and without exaggeration it is fortunate no-one was killed.

"We desperately need to speak to Bradley about this incident and will not rest until we find him.

"I also want to warn anyone foolish enough to help him that they will be dealt with severely.

"He cannot hide forever and it is in everyone's best interests that he hands himself in and talks to us sooner rather than later."

Seven men and seven women were taken to hospital by ambulance and several others went to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

All those who were treated at hospital were discharged within a few days.

Another 26-year-old man has been arrested and questioned on suspicion of attempted murder, but has been bailed pending further inquiries.
