Baby's body discovered in Greater Manchester garden

The body of a newborn baby has been found in a garden in Greater Manchester.

People living at a house in Tinline Street, Bury, found the baby's body wrapped in a cloth at 1100 BST.

Police, who have appealed for the child's parents to come forward, believe the baby was less than a week old.

A post-mortem examination has taken place, the results of which are due to be revealed on Tuesday.
