Officers hurt as man drives car at them in Clerkenwell

Two police officers were hurt when a car was driven at them.

The City of London officers had stopped a Nissan Juke in Farringdon Road, Clerkenwell, on Friday morning and when they left their car the other vehicle was driven in reverse, hitting them.

One officer was taken to hospital and later discharged and the other was treated at the scene by paramedics.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and driving under the influence of drugs.
