Thames pleasure cruiser crashes into Canary Wharf pier after engine catches fire
A 300 tonne pleasure boat with 151 people on board crashed into a pier on the Thames in London after its engine caught fire.
Nobody on board was injured following the crash at Canary Wharf Pier at 15:40 BST, police said.
The fire was put out before firefighters arrived at the scene and passengers and crew were taken off the ship by two other boats on the river.
The pier was closed temporarily but has now re-opened.
Some 142 passengers and six crew were evacuated, while three crew remained on board.
The Port of London Authority said boat is currently "safe and secure" by the river bank with its anchor dropped, and will be towed away in due course.
