London City worker in court over 'shoe death'

A City worker accused of killing a recruitment consultant in retaliation at his shoe being thrown out of a minicab has appeared at the Old Bailey.

Alexander Thomson, 32, was on a night out with former colleagues on 26 August when he allegedly punched Thomas Hulme in the head.

Mr Hulme, 23, from Tooting, south London, died on Saturday night.

Mr Thomson, of Broomwood Road, Clapham, was granted conditional bail to return to court on 26 September.
