A man is being held on suspicion of murder after a 33-year-old was fatally stabbed in west London.

The victim was found Spikes Bridge Road in Southall at about 23:15 BST on Saturday, before being declared dead in hospital at 06:30 BST.

A 24-year-old man is currently in custody for questioning by detectives.

The Met Police want to trace a car, containing three or four men, that was seen in the area before the attack.

Det Ch Insp Mark Lawson urged anyone who saw or heard anything in the Viking Road and Spikes Bridge Road area at about 23:00 BST on Saturday to come forward.

Police believe the car they want to trace could be a Vauxhall and was seen driving in the area.
