A&E children's services and children's in-patient services will close at Ealing Hospital from 30 June.

After this date, ambulances would take children to five other hospitals in north west London, the NHS said.

Urgent but non-life threatening cases for children and adults would continue to be dealt with at Ealing urgent care centre, it said.

Ealing Council has been opposed to the closure since it was proposed in 2012 and said it was a "flawed decision".

The NHS said the move was part of a broader review of services across north west London and would help to improve children's care in the region.

After June, ambulances will take children to West Middlesex; Hillingdon; Northwick Park; Chelsea and Westminster and St Mary's hospitals instead.
