Hampton stabbings: Man appears in court charged with attempted murder
A man has appeared in court accused of the attempted murder of four women who were stabbed near a supermarket car park in south-west London.
Ethem Aydin Orhon, 66, appeared before magistrates in Wimbledon earlier in connection with the incident in Hampton on Friday morning.
Mr Orhon, of Deacons Walk, Hampton was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on June 17
Four women, aged 53, 62, 67 and 71, remain in hospital.
Their condition was described by the Metropolitan Police as "stable".
Mr Orhon faces four charges of attempted murder and one of possessing an offensive weapon following the incident near a Sainsbury's supermarket.
