Leytonstone Tube stabbing: Accused faces more charges

A man accused of attempting to murder a stranger at a Tube station has been charged with attempting to wound four other people.

Muhiddin Mire, 30, is alleged to have attacked a 56-year-old stranger at Leytonstone Station on 5 December.

During a plea hearing at the Old Bailey, prosecutors applied for four counts of attempted wounding to be added to the indictment.

The case was adjourned until May 24.

Mr Mire, of Sansom Road, Leytonstone, east London, appeared in court via video link.

During the hearing, prosecutor Jonathan Rees QC said the new counts related to alleged threatening behaviour towards Daniel Bielinski, Serena Valori, David Pethers and Andrius Sabaliauskus.

A provisional trial date of May 31 has been set.
