A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in a fight outside a pub in east London.

George Forde, of Barclay Road, Newham, will appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court later on Friday.

He has also been charged with three counts of causing grievous bodily harm.

Edward Stokes, 29, was taken to hospital after the incident near the Army and Navy pub in Plaistow on 19 March but died from his wounds.

Three other men injured in what police described as a "large-scale fight" have since been discharged from hospital.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.

Ten people, six women and four men, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently on bail.
