A woman has been charged with the murder of her mother, who was found dead in a house in south-east London on Sunday.

Priscilla Edwards, 78, was discovered at the home in Kirkham Street, Plumstead.

Her daughter Regina Edwards, 52, of Plumbridge Street, Blackheath, was remanded in custody at Bromley Magistrates Court.

She is accused of killing her mother on or before 21 February this year.

Her solicitor did not give an indication of plea when he spoke on Ms Edward's behalf in court.

She will appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday.
