A lorry carrying a crane brought a large part of west London to a standstill after it became jack-knifed across a box junction on a major road.

Shepherd's Bush, Holland Park, Earl's Court, Hammersmith and East Acton remain severely congested after the vehicle became wedged outside Shepherd's Bush Station at 07:30 GMT.

The lorry has been shifted but road closures remain in place.

Police are directing traffic away from the area.
