Seven people needed hospital treatment after a collision between a double-decker bus and a car in north London.

The W8 bus and a Smart car crashed at 07:40 GMT in Enfield.

A woman suffered chest injuries and a man had neck injuries, London Ambulance Service said. The other people taken to hospital had minor injuries, while two more were treated at the scene.

A "significant incident" was declared by emergency services and London Road was partly closed after the crash.

The road has now re-opened.

The ambulance service said the car driver had been taken to hospital.

Five bus passengers were among those with minor injuries, Transport for London said.
