Mother in court over baby's murder in Hammersmith and Fulham

A woman has appeared in court charged with murdering her two-month old baby even though a body has not been found.

Federica Boscolo-Gnolo, 31, of Chioggia, Italy, is accused of killing her daughter Farah Boscolo-Gnolo, who was born on 22 November.

She was arrested on 31 January after she reported the baby's disappearance from a hotel in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

It is believed the body of the baby may have been put in a waste disposal.

Ms Boscolo-Gnolo appeared before Judge Peter Rook at the Old Bailey via video-link from Holloway Prison.

No application for bail was made and the judge adjourned proceedings for a plea and case management hearing on 27 April.
