London stabbing leaves man with 'life-threatening injuries'

A man has suffered "life-threatening injuries" after being stabbed in a block of flats in central London, the Metropolitan Police has said.

The victim, in his 20s, was attacked at an address in Mortimer Street and was taken to hospital.

Two people were arrested at the scene and are being held at separate police stations in central London.

Ambulance staff called police at about 21:00 BST and roads were closed to aid the investigation, the Met added.
