A man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was stabbed to death at a house in east London.

Leighann Duffy, 26, was found at the property in Hatherley Road, Walthamstow, on 1 September with stab wounds to her arm and neck.

She died in hospital two days later. A six-year-old child also suffered minor injures in the attack, but did not require hospital treatment.

Lloyd Byfield, 48, of no fixed abode, will appear before magistrates later.
