Three teenage boys have been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 12-year-old boy who was attacked outside a shop in south London.

The victim was approached by three youths and stabbed outside Tesco Express in Whitehorse Road, Croydon, on 20 January after a row, police said.

Two boys aged 13 and one 14-year-old were arrested and remain in custody.

Police said the injured boy was stabbed in the hand and leg.

Officers believe an altercation took place after the youths went through the victim's pockets and he was then stabbed.

Last week police arrested two 15-year-old boys on suspicion of grievous bodily harm over the attack. They were bailed until March.
