A Millwall supporter has been banned from football matches for three years after ripping a linesman's flag from its pole over a goal-kick decision.

Ian Wilson, 30, of Wisteria Gardens, Swanley, admitted criminal damage and going into an area adjacent to a play area at the game on 1 January.

On Thursday, Bromley Magistrates fined Wilson £305 and ordered him to pay £400 to replace the electronic flag.

The incident occurred during Millwall's 3-1 home defeat by Leicester.
