Boy, 12, stabbed twice by three teenagers in Croydon

A 12-year-old boy was stabbed in the hand and leg after getting into an argument with three youths in south London.

The boy was outside Tesco Express in Whitehorse Road, Croydon on Monday when the boys, aged between 12 and 15, approached him at about 16:50 GMT.

They went through his pockets before an altercation started and he was stabbed.

The boy was taken to hospital where his condition is described as "non-life threatening".

One suspect is described as white, with blond hair and blue eyes, about 5ft 6ins (1.67m) tall and wearing a black woolly hat, dark jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms.

The other two suspects were black and about 5ft 2ins (1.57m) tall and 4ft 11ins (1.49m) tall.

All three ran towards St James's Road, the Met said.
