London bus crash: wreckage cleared from road
A bus involved in a crash in south London which injured more than 30 people has been removed from the road.
The number 59, heading to King's Cross, swerved to avoid a vehicle and hit a tree near The Ship pub in Kennington Road on Friday morning.
Of the 32 patients treated, six sustained serious injuries but none are thought to be life threatening.
A Met Police spokesman said a contractor had been used to remove the bus.
One of the six seriously injured was a male police officer, who was on duty and in uniform. He suffered a broken elbow and a pelvic injury.
An investigation has been launched by officers from the Collision Investigation Unit. There have been no arrests.
