An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a teenager who was killed in north London.

The Met said the suspect was arrested at his home in the Muswell Hill area and remains in custody.

Joshua Folkes, 17, died from a stab wound to the chest outside a property in Bowes Road, Palmers Green, on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old girl arrested in connection to the death has been bailed.

She was arrested in the Enfield area on Wednesday morning.

Det Ch Insp Nicola Wall said: "We are appealing to the local community about the murder of a boy who was loved by his family. His death has left them devastated.

"We are appealing to Josh's friends and the community to come forward and help us find his killers.

"Someone out there must know who is responsible for this murder."
