Plaistow boy shot and stabbed in 'mistaken identity' case
A boy has been shot in east London in a suspected case of mistaken identity after masked attackers forced their way into his home, police have said.
Five men stabbed the 15-year-old and shot him in the leg after breaking into the house in Grange Road, Plaistow at about 03:00 GMT on Friday.
His injuries are not life-threatening.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the boy was not believed to be involved in any crimes but a man who was linked to gangs had been staying at the house.
He said Trident Gang Crime Command were investigating the attack and that police patrols had been increased in the area.
No arrests have been made.
