London teenager Thomas Ousby dies in Magaluf hotel fall

A teenager from London has died after falling from a hotel in the Spanish resort of Magaluf.

Thomas Ousby, 19, is reported to have fallen from a ninth-floor fire escape on Thursday.

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We were notified on 3 August of the death of a British national in Spain and are providing consular assistance to the family at this time."

Mr Ousby was working in the resort, promoting bars and boat trips.

His friends voiced their grief on Twitter.

Chelsie Louise tweeted: "Delighted I got the privilege to meet such an outstanding genuinely happy guy & call him a friend."

Danielle McCable tweeted: "Thomas William Ousby has the most amazing energy I've ever met in a person, I truly adore him and cannot understand why he's not here."

And another Twitter user, tweeting from an account named Milena, wrote: "Feel so lucky to have spent a month in Maga with you and to have shared so many cool memories."
