Pelivan Zekaj stabbing at Burger King: Man cleared
A teenage boy has been cleared of murdering a man outside a Burger King restaurant in London.
Daniel Lewis, 19, said he was acting in self-defence when Albanian national Pelivan Zekai, 23, was stabbed to death during a struggle last October.
Mr Lewis, from Barking, east London, was found not guilty at the Old Bailey of murder and affray.
The pair had been watching the film Taken 2 with their friends at the Wood Green Shopping City in north London.
But after they left trouble broke out and Mr Lewis was chased into the fast-food chain opposite.
The fatal confrontation came when he emerged and ran into the group of Albanian friends, the court heard.
