Man stabbed at Ilford petrol station named

A man who was stabbed to death at an east London petrol station has been named by police.

Thomas Albert Cudjoe, 29, was found with multiple wounds on the forecourt of the Shell garage in Ley Street, Ilford, in the early hours of Saturday.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Cudjoe, of Ilford, died from stab wounds to the chest and legs.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward. No arrests have been made, officers said.

Appealing for witnesses Det Ch Insp John Sandlin said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who saw a blue Ford Focus, registration number EJ57 OED, in the Ilford area on Friday, 2 November, or in the early hours of Saturday.

"I also wish to speak with anyone who had been in The Bell pub that evening as well as anyone who saw the altercation at the Shell petrol station."
